My dad works in downtown Anchorage in the Joint Pipeline Office. The week of Christmas my mom, sister, Jessica and I drove down to have lunch with my dad and see his office. It was pretty fun. We went to this cafe that served an interesting mix between Chinese food and deli sandwiches. Not a combo I would have put together but in this cafe it worked really well. On the way back, we stopped to look at a Christmas tree in the lobby of my dad's building. Jessica really liked it. :-) Of course, my parents wanted all the pictures with their adorable granddaughter that they could take... Not that I blame them of course!
Coat? Check. Boots? Check. Gloves? ...they're a little big but... check!
Ready to go.
Hmmm... I guess I need my mom to go with me.
Mom! This way!
Grandma is holding the munchkin as we get ready to cross the street.
It was only about -7 degrees out this day.
Jessica LOVED this tree!
Grandpa and Jessica at the Christmas tree.
Jessica is trying to explain to Grandma about the true meaning of Christmas tree's.
Grandma: This is my most favorite ornament on this entire tree.
Jessica: Oh. That ornament.
Jessica: Well, that's a nice one, but THIS is the best ornament.
Grandma: Really? They look the same to me!
Jessica: Oh no! They are completely different!
Jessica goes on to explain why... (she really was jabbering away during all the picture taking...)
Not quite sure what Grandpa and Jessica are doing right here... Calisthenics?
My mom is pointing out the star at the top of the tree...
Apparently Jessica likes it.
My parents are phenomenal. I love seeing them in this new role as grandparents. They are the cutest grandparents I've ever seen (obviously tied with my husbands parents though...). It was really neat to see my dad's office and for him to be able to show Jessica around to his co-workers.
