With that tantalizing headliner here is the story:
Today in class (or maybe it was yesterday...I don't remember...) one of my darling, sweet, quiet, cute 6th grade girls (we'll call her Sarah*) came up to me during writing time. She pulled me aside and very quietly said, "Mrs. Workman? I don't ever want to be pregnant." I looked at her, completely unable to figure out why she was randomly saying this, and said, "Well, Sarah. Good decision. You are only 11 after all."
"No," she said. "I don't want to be pregnant. Ever."
"Um, why?" I asked.
"Because you're always forgetting things in the middle of saying them, you always have to go to the bathroom, we never know if you're going to run to go vomit, and you can't keep up with us in the hallways! I don't think I ever want to be pregnant!"
Sweet child! I figure that feeling will change after marriage, but for the meantime I'm glad to be of service in helping her make good choices through her teenage years! :) Have I mentioned how much I love the kids in my class? Kids really are amazingly wonderful people. No wonder we are told to be child-like as we try to be more like our Savior.
