No really - I have crammed about a month worth of pictures into this blog with captions. This blog is basically everything I should have updated about in the past 5 weeks or so... :)

Jessica LOVES playing with all the pillows on our bed. She's just gotten over a laughing fit here. She's rubbing her eyes because it's close to bedtime.

Her face was COVERED in snot! You can see some of it glistening from the flash on my camera. At least she's happy about it!

Jessica loves to read. She also loves her pink chair. They make a great combination...

Still reading...

Jessica found something pretty funny....

I'm not quite sure if she's happy about the headband in her hair or sad. You decide. :)

(A) We are all enjoying a family moment while watching T.V.
(B) I FINALLY figured out the flash on my camera!!!!
(C) Of course I HAD to make use of the flash immediately...

*sigh* Our little pianist! She's so cute at the piano. She loves 'playing' it. When I try to help her she gets really mad and pushes my fingers off the keys. I really hope she continues to enjoy the piano...

NCAA March Madness 2010!!!!
Every year Jer and I make brackets and have awards for most points gained during each round with a super prize for over all points gained. This year we conned Angie into playing with us.
Round One Prize: Sunday Game of Choice
Round Two Prize: Trip to the Candy Cafe (my adorable nephew and I opened up 'shop' one morning while he was staying with us... it was our breakfast restaurant...)
Sweet 16 Prize: Movie of Choice (coveted position to be in...)
Elite Eight Prize: Movie of Choice & Homemade Treat of Choice
Final Four Prize: Double Feature of Choice & Homemade Treat of Choice
Championship / Overall Prize: Double Feature of Choice & Homemade Dinner of Choice (all 3 courses)I won everything except Round Two and Sweet 16 - GO DUKE!!!!

We were all very into the games we watched... Whenever we would get excited Jess would giggle and start clapping. At one point, during Round One, Angie was watching a game on her laptop in her room, Jer was watching a different game on his laptop in the office, and I was watching a 3rd game on the family computer in the kitchen. Anyone outside the house probably heard sporatic shouting as different games got exciting at different times. Then, we would run to the room where the shout was heard from and discuss/watch for a few minutes before going back to our own spot. It was really fun! Can't wait for next March!

I'm trying to remember
why we put Jess in the sink... Oh yea! The tub was clogged! (Or something). Anyways, she barely fits. But she's having a grand ol' time!

Jessica: Mommy - can I take a bath in here every night? Please?

Jessica: Excuse me! Pull those shades nice and tight! I'm taking my sink bath!

Jessica LOVES visiting Daddy at work. Luckily for her, unluckily sometimes for him, his office is right at home. One of her favorite places to sit is right behind him on his chair. :)

Jessica: I'm helping Daddy...

Taryn is the daughter of one of my dearest friends. She is a year older than Jess. Her mom, Kate, and I sing in a quartet together. One day we plan on having our girls sing in a quartet together. :) Remember the pink chair from earlier? The one that Jess loves and adores? Well, Taryn likes this chair too. Jess wasn't too happy at having to share. When she couldn't get Taryn to move, Jess did the next logical thing. She sat on her... Taryn doesn't look to happy about the situation either. :) Hmmm - We'll have to work on this sharing thing...

Turns out that Taryn has the same pajama's as Jess. This is Kate holding the twin-ers! :)
Jess: Not only do you dress us in matching pj's but you expect us to smile for a picture?
Taryn: Get me out of here!
Kate: I think they just tooted on me...

Church is so hard for Jess sometimes. It always seems to fall right during her nap times. Poor tired girl. She fell right asleep in her high chair...

Cute, tired honey

Jess is becoming a girly girl. She LOVES purses. Specifically, her aunts purse. :) She can walk into Angie's room crying and come out happy because she found her purse.

Did I mention how much she loves Angie's purse?

Seriously... the purse again?

On Sundays we love going through the Sunday ads. Jessica loves going through them with us.

I don't think she found the sale she was expecting...

Daddy kept trying to catch us both reading but Jess kept catching him trying to catch us! She's sneaky...

On this particular morning, Jess most definitely woke up on the wrong side of the bed. So, I dressed her in her Halloween pumpkin shirt to match her mood of 'monster'. Thankfully, she found her auntie's purse and the happiness resumed! :)

I think she found a treasure...

My brother Derrall is amazing. No, really. He is working on his Masters at BYU in computer science. Long story short (mostly because I'm not good at explaining it) he is working on a project involving artificial intelligence. His group of people, along with his professor, are teaching a computer (DARCI) about art. This is the art gallery they had on display. DARCI decided which pictures she liked (people brought them in to her) and then the pictures were posted. It was great. Jess and I came to see it and she really liked looking at the pictures...

On campus at the Wilkinson Center at BYU. Jess really enjoyed all the people around her. She was pretty brave and walking all by herself without holding Mom's hand. :)

We were walking by the food court at the Wilkinson Center and Jess suddenly got tired. She just sat down in the middle of the walkway. What a cutie!

Jer won an award at BYU for the Most Outstanding Theoretical Thesis in Linguistics. :) This is him accepting his award consisting of a plaque and $150. He worked hard and I was so glad to see him rewarded for his effort and sacrifice. I love you honey!

The Saturday before Easter we dyed Easter eggs. Jess liked putting them in the bowls. Well, throwing them in is more like it. :)

She wanted all of the eggs all at once.

Jessica: Someone help. I'm not getting the eggs fast enough...

Did I mention she liked throwing the eggs in the dye?
She also liked trying to retrieve them. :)

These pictures are really just too cute! Jess really wanted to help sweep up the floor at the end of the day.

This is her Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins impression.
Chim Chiminy Chim Chiminy Chim Chim Cheroo...

Jessica: Ooohhhh... So
that's how you sweep up a mess...

Jessica: No worries Aunt Angie! I brought the dustpan!

Jessica: Never mind the broom. I'll just use my hands to get everything in the dustpan!

Jessica: All in a days work!

Easter morning!

The Easter Bunny hid lots of eggs...

Still hiding eggs...

Even more eggs... For all you Gilmore Girl fans, we DID make a map of the 'town square' for Taylor so no rotten eggs would stick around. Thanks for the life lesson Kirk...

Jessica went right for the chocolate bunny... That's my daughter!

She's showing Daddy her fruit strips. She was very excited.

I know this picture is a little blurry but look at that cute, cute face!!!

The Easter Bunny left her bunny ears!

Jessica became a pro at finding those Easter eggs!
She loved having her own basket...

She was very surprised to find that the plastic ones had treats in them! She would ignore the animal crackers and teddy grahams to devour the fruit snacks!

There's an egg...

Ooohhhh - this one's pretty...
(She LOVED that particular egg because of the plastic wrap around it...)

Little bunny foo-foo hopping through the forest...

All the girls had bunny ears. Now Jess isn't too sure of hers...

Nice! Mommy got kit-kats! Her favorite!

These blocks are heavy!

Boy do I love my chair!

So does Angie!

Day after Easter and the ears are still a big hit!
I LOVE my little girl! She's walking, babbling, smiling, hugging, teasing, tickling, laughing, and plan old wonderful! She's not really a baby anymore. I'm finding that I miss the stages she has outgrown but I always love the stage she's in and look forward to the next one. I guess that means I'm enjoying life with my beautiful 15 month old!

Ahh! Those pictures are so fun! It amazes me how much Brinkly and Jessica are alike! They love the same things (chairs, blocks, dustpan, purses, etc). And I love the March Madness comp you guys do! Hopefully we'll be in Utah next year, and I'll be able to join in on the fun! :)
Thanks for the blog comment, Amy! We are doing well. It looks like you guys are loving parenthood. Jessica has turned into such an adorable toddler! Stephen and I loved the one time we got to babysit her. She made a cute little burrito baby all wrapped up in her blanket. Congrats to Jeremy on his thesis!
Those are the cutest pics ever!!!! Where did you get that blog background? I love it! Today was Hershey Track, and my relay team got 4th place. Ali's team got 2nd, and Lola's team got 1st. I hope to see you soon!
